Due to the many environmental factors affecting the actual broiler breeding, it is difficult to obtain the actual application effect only by the antibacterial test in the laboratory, or the usual feeding comparison test.
So in order to verify the growth promotion effect of Eospro® essential oil for poultry broiler, we contacted a farmer of Mr Zhu, who has more than 20 years of breeding experience to do the test. At the same time, it is very rigorous in breeding, which can give us a very detailed and accurate record of the use effect of Eospro® essential oil.
Mr Zhu will breeding a new batch of white feather broilers in mid-August 2023, which is also the first time to use Eospro® essential oil. Therefore, we propose to conduct a comparative test in two broiler houses to verify the use value of Eospro® essential oil.
Among them, the first broiler house using essential oil has 16,400 feathers, and the second house without using essential oil has 15,900 feathers. In the feeding process, except for the single use of essential oils in house No. 1, all the rest use unified pellets, veterinary medicine, vaccines and antibodies, and adopt a unified management method. We record the important nodes occurring in the growth process of broilers and the coping methods, as follows:
(1) On the second day, antibiotics was added for 4 days.
(2) On day 7, the poultry was immunized with infectious bronchitis vaccines (containing the 491 strain).
(3) On the 12th to 15th day, first stage to use of Eospro® essential oil, 1000liter water per 1liter essential oil, finish drinks in 4-5 hours for 4 days.
(4) On the 20th to 24th day, balloon inflammation occurred, drink antibiotics, within two 2 hours to finish drink.
(5) On the 25th to 28th day, the second stage to use of essential oil, 1000liter water per 1liter , drinks in 4-5 hours for 4 days.
(6) On day 30, add biologics (antibodies), at the same time use doxycycline.
(7) On the 35-37 days, the third time to use essential oil, 1000liter water per 1liter, in 4-5 hours to drink for 3 days.
(8) On the 39th day, add colistin sulfate and drink for three days.
(9) Day 46, Slaughter.
The end result:
The first house uses essential oil, 46 days slaughter, an average of 3.2kg, feed meat ratio of 1.476
No. 2 house used no essential oils, 46 days slaughter, an average of 3.08kg, feed to meat ratio of 1.51
Because the price of broiler chickens is not good on the 41st day, Mr. Zhu wants to breeding more days to see whether the price rises, so it is 5 days later, resulting in a high meat ratio. We calculate that if the meat ratio is released on the 41st day, the meat ratio can reach:
The first house uses essential oils, calculates 41 days slaughter, it can reach average 2.95kg, feed meat ratio 1.38
No. 2 house did not use essential oils, calculated 41 days slaughter, it can reach average 2.82kg, feed meat ratio of 1.43
Summary of use:
The reasons for the growth of Eospro® oil are as follows:
First, it can promote the growth of small intestinal villi and increase nutrient absorption rate, especially when essential oil is added for the first time on the 12th day, laying the foundation for later high nutrient absorption;
Second, it can relieve the pressure of host immune defense by inhibiting harmful pathogens and reducing the content of bacterial metabolites such as toxins and bioamines.
